Setting Read and Write Permissions
Permissions determine the Read and/or Write functions that are available to selected users or groups for a patient, sample, or run. You can set Read/Write permissions for these Geneticist Assistant entities from the following locations:
• Patient: The Patients tab and the Patient sub-tab on the Patient tab.
• Patient Sample - The Sample sub-tab on the Patient tab.
• Run - The Runs tab.
• Run Sample - The Samples pane on the Run tab (per sample basis).
• Sample in which a selected variant was found - Associated Samples pane on the Variant tab.
You can
set permissions for any entity if you are an Administrator user. If you are a standard user, then
set the permissions for an entity that you added to the Geneticist Assistant database or to which you have been granted read/write permissions.
