To load a preloaded reference
1. In the Reference Files pane, click Preloaded.
The Select Preloaded Reference dialog box opens. This dialog box lists all the preloaded references that have been imported into your NextGENe installation or custom built for your NextGENe installation. If the dialog box is blank, then no references have been imported or downloaded.

You can import reference files from the Reference discs that are included with NextGENe or download them from the SoftGenetics ftp site. You can also click Manage References > Build Reference to open the Build Preloaded Reference tool and build the necessary reference. For detailed information about importing or downloading a reference, or building a custom preloaded reference, see the Geneticist Assistant User’s Manual or Online Help.
2. Select the appropriate preloaded reference.
3. Click OK.
The Select Preloaded Reference dialog box closes. The selected reference is displayed in the Reference files pane.
