Because NextGENe supports several instruments types and multiple applications, the settings for the analysis steps can easily vary from project to project; however, if you have a group of settings that you frequently use, and you do not want to recreate these settings every time that you need to use them, then you can save these settings to a Configuration file. Several pages in the Project Wizard contain a Save Settings button. When you
click this button, you are prompted to name and save a configuration file with an .ini extension. This configuration file includes the settings for all selected steps in the Project Wizard, which can include sequence condensation, sequence assembly or sequence alignment, and post-processing. On the same pages that have a Save Settings button, you can
click a Load Settings button to load this file for any new project that uses the same data analysis steps and settings.
